Papua New Guinea is a Southeast Asian country bordering Indonesia and occupies the second half of the island of New Guinea. Its terrain is rugged and mountainous due to its placement on the Pacific Ring of Fire. Its three largest cities are Port Moresby, Lae, and Arawa. There are also a variety of historical landmarks in Papua New Guinea such as the Kuk Early Agricultural Site and the Bomana War Cemetary. Papua New Guinea has a diverse culture with 851 languages known to be spoken within it at one point as well as art such as that displayed at the Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery.
