Papua New Guinea's capital, Port Moresby, has a wide variety of landmarks such as the Port Moresby Nature Park, the Papua New Guinea National Museum & Art Gallery, and the Bomana War Cemetery. Another prominent landmark in New Guinea is the Kuk Early Agricultural Site, which is recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. According to UNESCO, "Kuk is one of the few places in the world where archaeological evidence suggests independent agricultural development and changes in agricultural practice over such a long period of time." Another landmark, the Bomana War Cemetery, commemorates Papuan citizens who served in World War II.
